Woohoo we’re going! STA have agreed to pay the difference as it actually wasn’t our fault that Japan Airlines misquoted them for our tickets. So, that’s it, we’re going and you’ll all just have to miss us lots and cope without us for six whole months.

Have just done some research on malaria areas etc. It seems Peru is going to be the riskiest area with the recommendation you take Maloprim PLUS Chloroquine (two types of tablet). Argentina follows with variable to low, recommends Chloroquine. All the other locations where they may occur (China, Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Bangkok, Hong Kong) it says low risk, avoid bites so loads of jungle formula and long sleeved tops and long legged slacks as the sun goes down...
